Boston-Bound: Dr. Sher at American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology
Boston-Bound! Dr. Mandel Sher will be participating in the 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology happening in Boston this weekend. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
This year’s program features a plenary session on Chronic Cough!
The meeting location is a doubleheader for Dr. Sher: First, Boston is where Dr. Sher had the honor of serving as Chief Resident at Boston Children’s Hospital, the primary pediatric training hospital for Harvard Medical School. Second, Dr. Sher is thrilled to see Chronic Cough in the spotlight and welcomes the opportunity to engage in robust idea-sharing with his Chronic Cough colleagues.
Dr. Sher believes in the value of being at annual meetings with colleagues. It supports lifelong learning, collegial relationships, and fun. Some of Dr. Sher’s Chronic Cough colleagues from the United Kingdom, NYC, San Francisco, Baltimore and other North American and international hometown locations are also expected to be at the meeting.
Dr. Mandel Sher is a renown Chronic Cough expert. As the founder of Center for Cough, Dr. Sher and Center for Cough team have demonstrated remarkable success treating patients with Persistent Cough even if they have seen other doctors and failed other cough therapies. Over 85% of patients with Chronic Cough seen by Dr. Sher demonstrate measurable reduction in cough activity and report an overall improvement in quality of life. In addition to evaluating and treating patients with Persistent Cough, Dr. Sher leads clinical research trials at Center for Cough, and is a frequent contributor to the medical community’s understanding of Chronic Cough.
