Increasing interest in Chronic Cough resulted in 3 Chronic Cough topics being presented by Dr. Mandel Sher and his world-class Cough colleagues at the 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI). Just back from this meeting, Dr. Sher is feeling energized!
Dr. Mandel Sher and colleagues from San Francisco and Colorado presented two sessions, and Dr. Sher’s esteemed colleagues from the United Kingdom, New York, and Baltimore were featured at the plenary session:
- Drs. Mandel Sher and Alan Goldsobel (of San Francisco area) presented: “New Approaches to Chronic Cough in Children and Adults”
- Drs. Mandel Sher and William Storms (of Colorado) presented: “How to Start a Center of Excellence: The Cough Center Experience”
- Drs. Jaclyn Smith (of University of Manchester, UK), Peter Dicpinigatis (of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NYC), and Brendan Canning (of Johns Hopkins) presented: “Emerging Concepts in Chronic Cough.” This plenary session to an audience of thousands featured Dr. Canning speaking on: “The Search for the Human Cough Receptor(s).” Dr. Smith addressed: “The Cough Hypersensitivity Syndrome: Diagnostic Approach to Chronic Cough in Adults.” And, Dr. Dicpinigaitis discussed: “The New Therapeutic Approach to Chronic Cough in Adults.”
